Good times

Ok so wow this week has had a lot of craziness:

1) We have had some restrictions limited and we can have things like district council and some conference in person and we can have lessons at the church. District council in person on Friday was really fun.

2) We had a super cool training this week and it was in spanish (because about half our mission is spanish and we're the only Portuguese area) and it was super good. I understood it thanks to all my Venezuelan friends who helped me with my Spanish.

3) We made a LOT of pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread)! It was super good. We tried ding dong ditching it at some members houses but most live in apartments. RIP. Kind of a failed service attempt. We gave it to 2/5 houses tho and just ate the rest ourselves/ gave it to our district.

4) We made some really good tacos this week. And I made lemon pepper chicken alfredo which was bomb. We're truly living boujee here.

5) There's this super cute park we walk to and we found a bunch of baby duckies!!! They were more like adolescent duckies but still adorable. We watched them for like an hour and a half. Who knew ducks were so interesting? We saw some fights because there were some protective momma duckies. We saw some definite flirting. Then some ducks that got scared away we saw them fly for like 10 ft then do this sick jet ski landing. Spicy stuff happening in the pond.

We saw a snake as we were walking home from the church. It was little but I didn't see it so I almost had a heart attack

6) And best for last, a miracle. We have had lots of little miracles but this is probably the biggest. Our cute friend Gabi from Brasil is getting baptized this Sunday! We got like the best text ever from a member saying there was someone who was being taught by the elders and would like to resume the lessons and so he planned it all and we got to meet her. She's incredible and has so much faith. We had 2 awesome lessons with her and invited her to be baptized and she accepted!! We're so excited for her!

Today for pday we got yummy Mexican food, cleaned out apartment and played volleyball and basketball with some sisters!

It's been awesome. I know that miracles are possible if we have faith. I don't know what I'm doing here and the future is really uncertain, but I know the Lord has a plan and a purpose for me and I know that He is carrying me through all of this.

Love,
Sister Dobbs
